Hark! What news?

Back again with her taste for music and a hectic lifestyle, our choir leader Emily Peasgood is returning to POW! Thanet again this year with a new piece; she said: “VOICE100┬áis a project I am developing to celebrate girls and women, 100 years since women were first granted the right to vote. My team and I are looking for 100 children and adults of any gender to contribute words or phrases that celebrate girls, women and equality…We are keen to visit youth clubs, scout and guide groups, residential homes and schools to undertake recordings. We are also looking to interview elderly people who have memories of family members that were involved in the suffragette movement.” Some members of en Choir are also taking part in this project so if you’d like to come and see us then click here for more information or contact us with any queries.
